KATIE CAMPBELL

Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor with a Master’s in Science in Social Work from The University of Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University. She is also a Board Approved Supervisor, Certified Daring Way Facilitator, and Certified Trauma Resilience Practitioner. Katie was born and raised in Texas.

Katie has acquired her experience from several different professional environments- including schools, private practice, and nonprofit organizations. Katie has 14 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families. During her time in the school system, she focused on working with children and teens experiencing crisis and/or emotional trauma, suicidal ideation and intent, self-injury, depression, anxiety, anger management issues, family conflict, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, grief & loss. She is well-versed in working with this population. During her tenure in private practice, she worked with adults experiencing divorce, grief, loss, and depression and anxiety. She is greatly experienced in working with adults struggling with finding happiness, being content with daily life, and balancing the ups and downs we are presented with.

Through her ten plus years as a therapist, Katie has found her niche in providing therapy individualized to each client. Her previous work experience coupled with her willingness to truly listen and help people has laid the foundation for her to have successful counseling relationships with her clients. Katie focuses on getting to the root of the presenting problem, setting realistic goals, and then working extremely hard to overcome those goals. She is driven, motivated, and resourceful. Katie specializes in treating trauma related issues, anxiety disorders to include panic attacks and social anxiety, depression, body image and self esteem, family issues, and suicidal thoughts and ideations. Katie implements Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma informed interventions, and Daring Way Interventions- all of which are evidenced based approaches.

Katie believes counseling can be life changing if the client and therapist have a solid therapeutic relationship as well as the client being ready to put forth the effort to make serious life changes. She challenges her clients while offering support and compassion. Katie has a great deal of respect for each of her clients for having the strength to reach out and come to counseling. She knows it’s not easy.

Katie is a mom of her two children and wife of her husband. She enjoys hanging out with her family, relaxing, and getting outside! She’s looking forward to starting to travel again and making new memories with her family.
