Jane is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a Master’s of Arts in Counseling and Social work from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio as well. Jane has lived and practiced in San Antonio, TX for over 20 years.
Jane gained her experience from a variety of professional environments—each of which have prepared her to be a compassionate and well-rounded therapist. Before entering private practice, Jane worked as the Child Placement Director at Angels Crossing where she was responsible for managing foster child placements and training parents and staff. As a Clinical Program Director at Seton Home, she was responsible for oversight and delivery of clinical mental health and social services to pregnant women and parenting foster care youth. During her tenure at Angels Crossing and Seton Home, she worked closely with individual patients as well as family members to help strengthen relationships and enhance support for treatment and recovery. These roles contribute to her ability to be a tenured therapist who is confident in her clinical skills.
Through her ten plus years as a therapist, Jane has grown to be a very knowledgeable therapist. Her previous work experience combined with her passion to help others has enabled her to connect with clients, couples and families yielding positive outcomes and progress. Jane specializes in treating trauma related disorders to include PTSD, anxiety disorders to include panic attacks, depression, body image and self-esteem, bipolar disorder, and family issues. She takes an integrated approach and collaborates with her clients to individualize care. Her clinical style is influenced by Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other experiential therapies. Jane employs a variety of interventions to aid her clients in developing mindfulness distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Jane aims to only support, encourage, and shed light on inconsistencies that may be present, but also provide instruction and guidance on how to develop insight, emotional awareness, and tools to soften the unexpected curve balls thrown as you navigate life.
For fun, Jane enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her favorite thing is spending time with her husband and two kids, going on adventures, and traveling
